About the College

Stratford Music Centre

Stratford Music Centre is the largest independent Music Centre in South Warwickshire, serving Stratford-upon-Avon and the surrounding area.

Stratford Music Centre is located on the college campus, and provides individual lessons and group activities for students of all ages.

Whilst individual lessons are offered midweek, it has long been a philosophy of the Stratford Music Centre that much of its activities take place on Saturday morning. A time when students can be encouraged to enjoy individual and group activities and also have the opportunity to mix socially with other students, parents and friends. This has been a major strength which has contributed to its success and is a feature which is not offered elsewhere in the Stratford area. At the beginning of the Summer holidays the Stratford Music Centre runs annual summer school courses which involve many students in a range of fun activities.

Students wishing to take practical exams will find a complete backup support of aural and theory lessons, plus an accompanist for the actual exam. Others wishing to learn for personal interest and pleasure will find a range of lessons and groups to suit all abilities and ages.

Each year there are in excess of 650 students and 50 tutors involved in activities at the Stratford Music Centre. Full details of this year's programme are set out on Stratford Music Centre's website to give you an idea of the scope of the available activities.
