Introduction

Course Outcome:
Participants will be able to use Access to store information, query the data and produce
reports from it. Highly recommended that this course is taken in conjunction with Access Intermediate.

Key Objectives

  • To be able to use an Access database to store and retrieve data
  • To be able to create a simple one table database with associated Forms and Reports

Course Units

  • Single table databases Access views: Design View, Layout View, Form/Print View
  • Creating: Tables, Forms, Queries, Reports by using Wizards and templates
  • Validation rules for table design
  • Sort and Filter Data. Query the data using select queries
  • Importing and Exporting data
  • Overview of Relational Database Design and multi-table databases
