Make Your Millions

Stratford-upon-Avon College is currently running a ‘Make Your Millions’ campaign to encourage people to enhance their literacy and numeracy skills for free. Recent figures from ‘National Statistics’ highlight that the employment rate and weekly rate of pay for those with level 2 qualifications can be 20% higher than for those with no recognised qualifications.

As part of its campaign to encourage members of the public to improve their skills, representatives of the college will be promoting its free literacy and numeracy courses in Stratford town centre this weekend (9th May) and handing out promotional quiz leaflets to anybody who is keen to improve their future opportunities.

In addition to free literacy and numeracy programmes, the college’s business division, Stratford Business Services, offers members of the public the opportunity to improve their IT skills for free. The nine month ITQ programme provides tutoring in word processing, databases, spreadsheets and using tools such as email. The training workshops are held weekly and whilst developing their IT skills, learners will achieve a nationally accredited level 1 or level 2 qualification.

For more information about Stratford-upon-Avon College’s free literacy and numeracy courses, please contact Anne Ward on 01789 266245 ext. 3157. For further details, or to enrol on a free IT course, please call Stratford Business Services on 01789 297335.
