The Mayor of Stratford-upon-Avon, Councillor Mr William Dowling, joined governors and staff of Stratford-upon-Avon College and City College Coventry last night, in welcoming three hundred new international students.
The Heart of England International Academy|’s Welcome Reception at the Civic Hall in Stratford-upon-Avon gives the opportunity for students to meet staff from both Colleges and partner Universities in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. In addition to a special welcome by the Mayor, speeches were also made by Martin Penny, Principal of Stratford-upon-Avon College and Paul Taylor, Principal of City College Coventry.
Martin Penny commenting on the success of the event said, “This has been a highly successful annual event for Stratford-upon-Avon College. It was once again a pleasure to welcome so many students from across the world. Our international students have been excited by their orientation into the cultural pleasures and community life of Coventry & Warwickshire over the last month and the Mayor of Stratford-upon-Avon made them all feel extremely welcome last night.”
