Raising the Participation Age

The raising of the participation age means that you now have to stay in education until you are 18.

Apply to Stratford-upon-Avon College – you don’t have to stay at school.

The Government is raising the participation age, so from 2015 young people will have to stay in education or training until they are 18.

That doesn’t mean you have to stay on at school. Why not make a fresh start at a Further Education College? At Stratford we can offer you several options when you reach the end of year 11, including full-time education at college and work based learning such as an apprenticeship. Prefer to of full-time or voluntary work? That’s fine too, you can combine this with part-time training that leads to a recognised qualification.
