Where will this course lead?

Increase your knowledge and awareness of the Prevent Duty and safeguarding, including online safety. Learners will develop knowledge of safeguarding in an environment where they have a duty of care.

This course is split into manageable sections:
• Understanding the Prevent Duty
• Understanding Safeguarding
• Understanding Online Safety.

How will this course be delivered?

This is delivered via distance learning

What qualifications will I get?

NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Safeguarding and Prevent.

How will I be assessed?

Assessments will be marked by an allocated tutor who will provide you with detailed feedback. You will be assessed against criteria where all learning outcomes of the course have to be covered; your tutor will give you guidance for this.

What are the entry requirements?

Due to funding eligibility, all candidates must be a minimum of 19 years old and have lived in the UK for 3+ years.

What can I do after this course?

This qualification may support progression toward the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead

Level 2 and 3 qualifications in Working with Children and Young People
