This qualification will give learners a basic understanding of childcare and education, parenting and babysitting. It will also help them to make an informed choice about working with children and young people. On completion of the Certificate learners can progress to the Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young People's Workforce qualification.
This qualification provides an opportunity to study a range of topics from three main areas: child care and education, babysitting and parenting responsibilities.
This course is delivered via the method 'distance learning' which means you can choose when and where you study.

Assessments will be marked by an allocated tutor who will provide you with detailed feedback. You will be assessed against criteria where all learning outcomes of the course have to be covered; your tutor will give you guidance for this.
