Where will this course lead?

The Higher Apprenticeship in Business Administration is aimed at candidates who work to a high level without supervision, managing their workload within the business environment. This business and administration apprenticeship level 4 will help you to develop your confidence, skills and competence in your current role and will help you in developing, implementing and monitoring administrative services. This framework is suitable for those responsible for tasks including overseeing operational activities, implementing change within organisations, managing teams, monitoring risk and agreeing budgets.

What will I study?

This Business and Administration Apprenticeship Level 4 programme can be tailored around you, the business you work in and your job role. Depending on your unit choices, topics covered can include:
• Conducting quality audits
• Design business processes
• Encourage innovation
• Develop and maintain professional networks
• Develop and implement operational plans
• Managing, budgets, projects, administration functions and business risks

How will this course be delivered?

The apprenticeship combines regular one to one tutorials, independent study and 'on the job' learning. You will benefit from ongoing support and guidance from your assessor. You will be required to spend a minimum of 6 hours per week (during working hours) carrying out independent study. This time will be recorded in a learning journal to capture your experiences, reflections and achievements throughout the learning journey.

What qualifications will I get?

Level 4 Diploma in Business and Administration.

How will I be assessed?

A range of methods will be chosen to assess your vocational knowledge and competence and may include: observations, professional discussions, verbal or written questions, assignments, presentations, work products, reflective accounts, witness testimonies and more!

How do I get a place on the course?

In order to get a place on the course you need to have secured an apprenticeship position with an employer. Business and administration apprenticeship level 4 vacancies are advertised on our website and you can follow the instructions to apply online.

What are the entry requirements?

Candidates should have already achieved GCSE grade A-C in English and Maths (or equivalent) to enrol in a business and administration apprenticeship level 4.

Successful applicants may be able to progress on to the Operations/Departmental Manager Apprenticeship Level 5 Diploma for Leaders & Managers.
