What will I study?

We will focus primarily upon watercolour painting. In doing so, we will learn how to create a better composition, mix and apply tones and colours, and use a range of markmaking techniques.

How will this course be delivered?

Classes will be delivered as a series of practical painting sessions, that include demonstrations where appropriate. Lesson activities are sequenced so that skills learnt earlier in the course can be developed further at later stages.

What else do I need to know?

You will need watercolour paint, watercolour paper, watercolour paintbrushes, pencils and an eraser.

You will also need to bring photographs to create paintings from. These can be landscapes, still life or portraiture. They can be your own photographs, or photographic images found in newspapers, magazines or on the internet.

The College reserves the right to withdraw courses before they have started where the minimum economic number of learners stated have not been recruited to a course. Course can only run if a minimum of 14 students are recruited.
