As you may be aware, to enable Colleges to fully open safely, the Government has set out a plan for students each to receive a series of three COVID lateral flow tests commencing on 8 March 2021.
The test is voluntary, but we would strongly encourage everyone to take it.
Our full time students will by now have received a text and email informing them of the date and time for their three tests.
The week commencing 8th March will therefore be an on-line teaching week in order to enable us to administer tests for students before we reopen classrooms.
After their first Covid tests, students should return home straight away. We will shortly be advising students of the dates and times for their next test, which will be at the same venue as the first test. Anyone undertaking the test receives their results via a text from NHS.
We understand that some students may wish to take their tests at a venue that is closer to their home. If that is the case, we would ask that the College are made aware of the results before the student comes back to class. We will continue to notify all students of their allocated times for their tests at the centres named above, in case a student decides to take their second or third test with the College.
As Monday 15th March is an inset training day, we will be returning to classroom-based provision from Tuesday 16 March 2021.
When students have taken three tests, we will provide them with home testing kits.
Our admissions team is working remotely to process all applications. These can be submitted as normal through the website. Select your course of interest, click ‘Apply now’ and follow the instructions.
We are in a constantly evolving situation so please keep checking the website and student hub for updates.
Stay Safe and thank you
