Where will this course lead?

Aimed at individuals currently working or looking to work in a Health and Social Care setting, our Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Dignity and Safeguarding in Adult Health and Social Care will help you identify safeguarding issues and comply with standards of care for vulnerable adults. This course covers many key factors such as recognising abuse and harm, how to promote dignity and safeguarding, the meaning of duty of care and how to resolve and access support when dealing with situations that effect dignity and safeguarding.

What will I study?

This course is split into manageable sections. These are:                                                      

• Understanding safeguarding in adult health and social care
• Principles of dignity in adult health and social care practices
• Understand duty of care in adult health and social care
• Understand dilemmas and public concerns in adult health and social care

This is delivered via distance learning

What qualifications will I get?

NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Dignity and Safeguarding in Adult Health & Social Care

How will I be assessed?

Assessments will be marked by an allocated tutor who will provide you with detailed feedback. You will be assessed against criteria where all learning outcomes of the course have to be covered; your tutor will give you guidance for this.

What are the entry requirements?

Due to funding eligibility, all candidates must be a minimum of 19 years old and have lived in the UK for 3+ years.

Level 2 and 3 Certificate in Preparing to work in adult social care
