Where will this course lead?

This course is designed to help you develop your knowledge and understanding, from identifying different types of diabetes, manage and monitor diabetes effectively, as well as understanding the impact diabetes can have on an individual.

What will I study?

This course is split into manageable sections. These are:
• Understanding diabetes
• Prevention and early intervention of Type 2 diabetes
• Understanding initial care of diabetes
• Understanding treatment and management of diabetes

How will this course be delivered?

This is delivered via distance learning

What qualifications will I get?

NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding the Care and Management of Diabetes.

How will I be assessed?

Assessments will be marked by an allocated tutor who will provide you with detailed feedback. You will be assessed against criteria where all learning outcomes of the course have to be covered; your tutor will give you guidance for this.

What are the entry requirements?

Due to funding eligibility, all candidates must be a minimum of 19 years old and have lived in the UK for 3+ years.
