I am based in the International Office (CS17) and am responsible for the admissions, induction, general support and wellbeing of all international students studying at Stratford-upon-Avon College. I ensure the department is UKVI compliant in all required areas, such as attendance and recruitment.
I have an interest in photography and marketing, so you will often see me taking photos at our international events. I am also a keen runner and have completed four marathons.
I am responsible for international student recruitment and business development. I have a diversified career with the focus on project management and business development in Greater China region and in the UK. I obtained my MSc with Distinction and PhD in Development Policy and Management from the University of Manchester. I am an Associate Member of the CIPD. Born in Beijing China, I had spent a year in the USA and have been living in the UK for over 12 years. I am a native Chinese speaker and fluent in English.
My main roles are to manage the English Language Teaching programmes and the English teaching team. I have been teaching English for over 20 years and I am qualified at Certificate, Diploma and Master’s degree level. In 2015, I was nominated for a British Council ELTons award for materials design and development. I am also fluent in speaking Japanese. Away from work, I am married with two daughters, and enjoy drinking wine, and listening to cool jazz.
