Where will this course lead?

Will help to progress within a variety of sectors and in a number of job roles where an understanding of learning disabilities and knowledge of how to support people with learning disabilities is required. 

What will I study?

Principles of supporting individuals with learning disabilities, safeguarding and protection, personalisation care, positive risk taking, awareness of autistic spectrum conditions, accessing healthcare.

How will this course be delivered?

This is delivered via distance learning

What qualifications will I get?

NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Working with Individuals with Learning Disabilities.

How will I be assessed?

Assessments will be marked by an allocated tutor who will provide you with detailed feedback. You will be assessed against criteria where all learning outcomes of the course have to be covered; your tutor will give you guidance for this.

What are the entry requirements?

Due to funding eligibility, all candidates must be a minimum of 19 years old and have lived in the UK for 3+ years.

What else do I need to know?

This course is currently free to all learners. However, non-completers may be charged a fee of £100.

Could progress to: Level 2 and 3 Certificate in Preparing to work in adult social care

Level 2 and 3 Diploma for the Children and young people's workforce

Level 2 and 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care
