Develop your creative skills experiment with different techniques and crafts.
What will I study?
This Art for Well-Being course is designed to promote creativity, relaxation, and self-expression through creating an art journal. This course is suitable for individuals of all skill levels who wish to explore art as a means of improving mental well-being, reducing stress, and fostering personal growth. This course has a focus on well-being, if you would like to learn professional techniques please consider our watercolour or painting for leisure courses.
Course Objectives:
- Encourage self-expression through art
- Develop mindfulness and relaxation techniques using art
- Enhance emotional well-being through creative activities
- Build confidence in artistic skills without pressure or judgment
- Foster a sense of community and connection through shared creativity
You will need to bring a A3 or A4 mixed media pad that is suitable for painting and other activities.
This course will show you how to use art as a means of relaxation and escapism whilst learning new skills.
How will this course be delivered?
This is a 2-hour class each week for 10 weeks.
What qualifications will I get?
This is a personal development course - there is no official qualification gained.
How will I be assessed?
This course will be informally assessed by the tutor also by the student's self-assessment and evaluation.
