Early Years & Education students from Stratford-upon-Avon College recently planned a picnic summer party for a local primary school.
Level 2 Early Years students planned and conducted a Teddy Bears picnic for children at Holy Trinity School in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Students planned and executed a day filled with fun activities based on their understanding and knowledge of how children learn. Activities included parachute games, target throwing games, decorating cupcakes, and making crowns. The children also participated in a bear hunt.
The students worked as a group to ensure the activities were engaging and fun for the children, offering support, and ensuring each child had a fun filled day. The students also provided and prepared the food for the picnic.
The class teacher from Holy Trinity commented: “Thank you for such a wonderful afternoon. Your students put in a lot of effort and were wonderful with the children. We can’t thank you and your team enough for such a fun and engaging afternoon. They were fabulous!” ?
The students were able to practically apply the knowledge they have learnt so far this year and were able to gain authentic experience working with children.
