A former Music student from Stratford-upon-Avon College has stunned with her incredible vocal talent on the latest season of ITV’s The Voice UK.
Ciiara Nyx, 21 originally from Evesham and now living in London, studied a range of Performing Arts subjects at college and has continued her creative journey by sharing her vocal talent with the world on the hit TV show The Voice.
Singing from a young age, Ciiara developed her performing ability by gigging at lots of charity events around Warwickshire and Worcestershire as well as developing her song writing skills.
She chose to continue her performing training at college, starting on the Level 2 Performing Arts course, then moving to the Level 3 Acting and then to Level 3 Music which she completed with a Distinction in Spring 2025.
She loved her time at college: “I think my favourite thing was being able to build connections and network with other creatives who enjoy making music and art like I do. I am not the most academic person, so I struggled a lot in school, especially with finding my ‘people’ who had similar interests as me like making music and performing.”

Her talent at college was evident in her incredible performances, but it was someone closer to home who took the next step to signing Ciiara up for The Voice: “It was my mum who signed me up to audition (without me even knowing) and I am so thankful that she did. The audition process was pretty straight forward but quite stressful as I really wanted to get through and I think I put a lot of pressure on myself during that time. I found out that I got through to the blind auditions whilst I was in a class in college, it was so difficult keeping it to myself and not telling my classmates!”
Her first performance aired in September where she dazzled with a powerful rendition of Glorybox and earned not one, but two judging teams turning round; Kelly Rowland and Tom Fletcher & Danny Jones. She chose Tom & Danny to move forward in the competition.
She is loving her time on the show: “My experience so far has been very exciting. It was such an amazing opportunity to be able to have those kinds of experiences, like being able to sing in a proper tv studio, especially for someone like me wants to have a career in music. It was also nice to build relationships with the other contestants too, they were all so supportive and welcoming and are all so talented.”
Ciiara is keen to continue pursuing a Music career and is so pleased to have this experience under her belt: “I definitely plan to continue building my musical portfolio and becoming the musician that I want to be. I have so many projects that I want to create and music that I want to put out into the world. I only hope that this is only the start of a successful musical career.”
Her next episode airs later this month and everyone at the College is excited to see her next performance!
