It is ideal for you if you wish to pursue a health-related career including Paediatric Nursing, Paramedical Science, Midwifery, Adult Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Operating Department Practitioners, Occupational Therapy.

What will I study?

The remote Access to Higher Education (Health Science Professions) course is made up of the following subjects:

How will this course be delivered?

9-month online programme, making learning accessible for you to study anywhere. You will complete online interactive tasks and set assignments.

What qualifications will I get?

Access to Higher Education Diploma Health Science Professions Level 3 OCNWM Distance Learning

How will I be assessed?

There are no external exams as part of this course however there will be some timed essays for some subjects and tests for Biological Sciences. You will be assessed through completion of modules, coursework and online assessments.

How do I get a place on the course?

You must complete an application form and you will then be contacted to have a Teams call interview.

What are the entry requirements?

Must hold level 2 qualification in Maths and English (e.g. GCSE grade A/8 - C/4 or functional skills level 2).

If you do not hold qualifications Maths and English, there are level 2 online options available.

What else do I need to know?

With the return of the nursing bursary from September 2020 - meaning degree level nursing students now receive at least £5,000 to study - this is a great time to get into nursing!

You will be expected to have good IT skills and access to reliable technology and WIFI.

You will be allocated a Personal Tutor at the start of your course who will support you during your online time at college.

What can I do after this course?
